Please read through the information below to begin the application process of applying to TEMPO. We are excited about your interest in our school and encourage you to contact our office with any questions you may have.
Admissions Process
Each year, TEMPO receives applications from more students than there is accommodation. Therefore, we recommend submitting your child’s application as soon as possible. Applications are processed in order in which they are received. Most students join the school when they begin kindergarten. Seats available for students entering grades one though twelve are based on attrition.
Applications for kindergarten are processed starting in January. Should positions be available, kindergarten applicants and their parents will be invited for an interview. The visit will include a tour of the school and the opportunity to review our program and to ask questions.
Applications for grades one through twelve are considered for admission starting in April each year. Should positions be available, applicants will be invited to write an entrance exam. This appointment will also include a tour of the school and the opportunity to review our program and to ask questions.

What Happens After I Apply?
All applications received will be reviewed in the order in which they were received.
Should a spot be available, we will contact you to schedule an interview or entrance exam.
Interviews and/or entrance exams include a tour the school, opportunity to review our program, answer any questions you may have, as well as, meet with you and your child.
After all steps have been completed, we will contact you regarding the final decision.
Applications are not held on file beyond the current year of interest, applications must be resubmitted with updated supporting documents for the following academic year.

1. When can I apply?
You can apply online any time throughout the year.
2. At what age do you accept children to Kindergarten?
The child MUST be 5 years of age by the 31st of December in his or her kindergarten year.
3. How large are your classes?
We attempt to keep our class sizes small and well below average class sizes.
4. Do you provide after-school care?
We do provide after-school care for kindergarten through grade four and supervision for students in grades five through twelve. Fees are charged hourly and dependent on the length of time in which the child is in care. All supervision ends at 4:20 p.m.
We do not have before-school care for children. School opens at 7:50 a.m.
5. Do you offer bussing to TEMPO?
We do not offer bussing to TEMPO. We have students coming from all over the city and surrounding areas. Transportation to TEMPO School is the responsibility of the parent(s).
6. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, e-transfers, debit, cash and personal cheques. We do not accept American Express.
7. What are my payment options?
Payment can be made in one payment due in September or in nine monthly instalments.
