Art Club

Students will become familiar with the elements and principles of design and the expressive qualities of various materials by using a range of media, processes, techniques, and styles. Here is a great way to explore one’s creative side.

Chess Club

There are many benefits to learning chess, such as developing logical thinking, good sportsmanship and problem solving skills, as well as, being an excellent tool helping with interpersonal relationships.


Coding

Create your own programs with code, learn to problem solve with building apps, logic-based games and puzzles, and have fun making animations, music and games. Students also may find challenge with more advanced programming. They would be programming with Micro-bits (little devices with buttons), LED lights, buzzer, accelerator and more.

Computers

Students will develop basic skills in computer fundamentals, keyboarding, computer applications, research tools, and educational applications.

Young Engineers

This is a hands-on class where students will design and build machines, catapults, pyramids, derby cars, buildings and other constructions out of LEGO® bricks. While exploring engineering, architecture and physics, students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, have an opportunity for creative expression and develop an appreciation of how things work.


Drama Club

Students learn the basics of theatre arts by exploring a character through such activities as pantomime, improvisation and effective speaking using articulation, projection and breathing. Students also explore elements of technical theatre by exploring the use of such elements as costumes, props and scenery.

Quiz Club

This club is great for students who enjoy friendly competition based on facts in history and geography. Rigorous training commences in term 1, building teams and practicing game etiquette. Students are encouraged to participate in competitions such as Reach For The Top and other exciting competitions.

Middle School Leadership

This club activities include public speaking practice, planning projects to promote student life and community service. The goal is to have fun, socialize with other students and help build school community.


Debate Club

The club promotes speech and debate activities in the areas of: Language Arts, Drama, Social Studies and Science. This club is for students looking to have fun, with a shared passion for critical thought. Participation in competitions is encouraged.

AP French

Engage in a diversity of learning situations to apply the French language and use it for personal, intellectual, social and cultural development. Topics include: challenges for my future, health and leisure, francophone culture, world legends and myths, science and technology.


Art 10/20/30

Latin 20/30

Students looking to continue or complete the sequence of study in Latin are welcome. We will focus on the daily life during the Empire: the family, the home, education, food and army.


AP Biology

This program covers concepts in 4 main areas of study: evolution, cellular processes, genetics and biological interactions.

AP Chemistry

The goal of this program is to introduce students to concepts required for solving problems in Chemistry and understanding chemical reactivity and to develop analytical and critical thinking skills for potential science majors.

AP Calculus

The goal of this program is to expand on concepts of calculus and provide experience with its methods and applications. This 2 year program is delivered as a rotation of sub-topics A & B over the course of 2 years.

This program covers concepts in these main areas of study: Newtonian mechanics, electricity and magnetism, fluid mechanics, and thermal physics, waves and optics, and atomic and nuclear physics.
